Personalized Gift Cards Can Provide Them What They Need
November 17, 2008 – 4:05 pmPicking out a wedding gift can seem overwhelming. You don’t want to get the couple an item they can’t use or one that might become a running joke for years to come because your choice was so off mark. Instead of getting the couple a wedding gift that they may or may not be able to use, why not consider a personalized wedding gift card?
Along with the stress of planning a wedding, there is also the stress on the bride to put together the wedding favors for her attendants. Some wedding ideas for favors can run sparse and if you don’t want to give the usual gift of a candle, an engraved holder or a silver necklace to commemorate the wedding, then consider putting together gift bags or wedding favor boxes that includes an assortment of items for your wedding attendants. Personalized wedding favors such as stamped soaps, lotions with your own labeling, a bracelet or anklet and a personalized wedding gift card to the store of their choice is always a great way to say “Thank You” to your bridesmaids for being a part of your special day.
Some stores will even take the personalization of the gift cards further and create a card that has the names of the couple, the date of the wedding and even a computer generated rendering of the couple on the front. This isn’t a feature that is widely available, but its use is becoming more commonplace as more brides and grooms opt for the “little something extra” in putting together their wedding gifts.
A creative way to bring your wedding to a whole new level is by giving gift cards to all of your guests, and not just your wedding party attendants. A small gift card balance on a giftcard will make a wonderful present for all of your guests and can make an incredible statement of your thanks for being a part of your special day, when given during your reception.
Remember, there’s a fine line between unique wedding gifts and a wedding gift that is unusable by the couple. Before you your wedding preparation, make a list of the items you think they might like or even better, if they are registered at a major store, then check their wedding registry for items the couple have indicated they’d like to receive. If you’ve started shopping a little late and most of the items within your budget are gone, a personalized wedding gift card will make a wonderful gift and allows the couple to get the item that they would like most.
